we hope will be a useful reminder to established residents and an introduction
to what’s here for

Amenities
There is a small range of shops, dominated by the Costcutters supermarket,
which is open 7.00am – 10.00pm seven days a week. The others include a chemist,
sub-post office,
charity shop, dry cleaners and laundry, and an arts and crafts shop. There is a garage undertaking repairs
and a sub-library. There is a community notice board at the shops
advertising forthcoming events.
There are two public houses, The Tower Arms and The North Star. Hearty meals are served in
both pubs and the Tower Arms also offers Bed and Breakfast
accommodation. There is also an Indian Restaurant, Curry Paradise,
which can provide take-aways.
Sporting facilities centre around Richings Park Sports Club in
Wellesley Avenue. The Club also offers occasional social events
not necessarily limited to members.
Community Buildings include the Church Halls of St
Leonards and ??.

Public Transport consists primarily of the main line
services running through Iver Station out of Paddington. A local
mini-bus provides a 4-trip per day service in a loop running from
Langley to Uxbridge on Mondays to Fridays only.
Refuse / Recycling South Bucks District Council provide
free black refuse sacks which are collected on a Tuesday. Every second
Tuesday, paper and cardboard waste
for recycling is collected using boxes also supplied by SBDC.
Every month, glass and cans are also collected from boxes provided by
SBDC. Request a magnetic calendar from SBDC to stick on your
fridge.
