A.O.B.

Graham is interested in getting our Website up and running, and will get the necessary paperwork from Heather Harper.

Daphne has seen yet another application for Goods Vehicle Licence operating out of the Ridgeway, with 15 lorries and 5 trailers.

Maureen A.  asked about kerbing in Somerset Way, and  Alan explained discussions which had taken place over the years.  He will raise the matter again with County, as it appears since the last questionnaire that most residents favour kerbing to help with the drainage.           A.O.

Alan B. referred to verge cutting and Alan O. said it would be preferable for his road to be included in the South Bucks programme.  Bardons continued to be anti-social with their chimney smoke at evenings and on Sundays.  Alan will present photographic evidence at Bardons meeting on 14th July.

Susie commented on the continuing parking problems and the out-of-control grass and brambles on the Donald King land.

Maureen W. reported overgrown trees in Wellesley Avenue.  She brought to the attention of the Committee a Community Safety Forum at Iver Junior School on Tuesday, 21st June at 7.30 p.m.  The next clearing session at The Mound is on Saturday, 2nd July.

Brian noticed the Community Safety Officer patrolling the village recently on a Sunday.

Wendy reported continuing problems at the station with yobs throwing objects on the line.

Alan O. said that the staff at Cornerstone had asked if they could sit in the residents garden at break times, but were told it would create a precedent and encourage youngsters to loiter, and we were not covered by insurance for any incident which may arise.

He referred to the proposed plans by Cross Rail and the Waste Transfer Station.  Either project would require demolition and re-construction of bridges.  A by-pass and re-build of Chequers Bridge (and taking away the railway bridge in Thorney Lane South) would stop a lot of the traffic movement along Richings Way and North Park, and divert Court Lane, Ridgeway and Bisons HGVs straight onto the by-pass linking Sutton Lane to Wood Lane and motorway networks.

The meeting closed at 9.45p.m.
