Our Sponsors and Supporters

The Residents Committee would like to thank all the companies and individuals who have supported us over the years and continue to do so.

Costcutters. The Khan family has supported us in many ways, with contributions of mince pies and red wine when we have carol singing, Raffle prizes, and as a collection base for the subscription envelopes. Mr Khan and all his family have been at the centre of Richings Park for many years, and we hope that our good relationship with them will continue. Thank you.

Balcomm has contributed when we have requested funds for projects and the clearance of rubbish left around the shops.

The Rotary Club has donated money for projects such as the framing of the Centenary Quilt and other projects

Heathrow has awarded us grants through its Community Funds arm for several projects, including the Interpretative boards at Residents and Kingfisher Gardens, as well as a Welcome board at Iver Station. They have given grants for projects such as work at St Leonards Mound and Kingfisher Garden.

Heathrow pays for the work of the Heathrow Rangers who maintain Kingfisher Garden and the Residents Garden, and are now watering the tubs at the shops. Kingfisher Garden, owned by Bucks Council and managed by the Residents Association, has been planted with spring bulbs, wild flowers, and native trees to enhance the area.

Keen Dicey Grover and Move Inn estate agents have supported us with donations and support for projects.

Bucks Council Waste department provides equipment for our Richings Sparkle clean-up events and the Annual Spring clean, where we compete against Iver and Iver Heath to collect the most rubbish.

The Ivers Parish Council has given us grants for several projects over the years. They also maintain the playground at the Sports Park.

The Iver Parish magazine (St Peter's and St Leonard's church) has given us free space for advertising events in the monthly magazine.

The Police and Crime Commissioner gave us a grant to support the start of Smartville in Richings Park, as well as several residents who conceived the name Smartville and others who financially contributed to the project.

Tony Hill manages the camera network and works alongside the police force and Jane Brown in identifying vehicles used in crime with Smartville equipment.

The Bucks Community Board has given us grants for projects.

Women's Institute members and other residents, led by Lynne Brown, designed and made the Centenary Quilt, which resides at the Sports Park.

Richings Sports Park manager Mike Reddan has helped with costs for events at the club, and Manoj of Poonams and Pali Kang helped with costs at the ABBA event.

Jan Wiseman, who helps maintain the defibrillator outside the shops.

Pinewood Studios has helped with the costs of past events, loaning projectors and other equipment.

Our MP Joy Morrissey supports us by attending RPRA events.

Subgroups of our Committee

The Gardening Team, which is a group of residents led by Neil Pennie, mow the grass areas not covered by Bucks, and they are out in all weathers doing this. Equipment is bought using subscription funds and is maintained by Neil. Mature trees have been bought and planted, and whips (small trees that need to be grown on) have been provided by the Woodland Trust.

The Repair Café Team, Will Goddard, Nick Jones, and Jim Skinner manage and run the new and exciting Repair Café, with several cafes having been held across the whole Iver parish, with more planned. Black Park Shed supported the group with volunteers and expert advice. Deborah O’Sullivan provides pastries for the café.

The Events Team - Shantanu Tandon, Ged Weston, and Amarjit Dhaliwal manage the events held regularly in the park. This group led the fundraising effort to enable the Children’s Playground to be built in the grounds of the Sports Park

The recent ABBA party and a Murder Mystery evening for the Centenary events were also managed by this team. They, and other committee members, helped organise the Richings Christmas toy appeal, the Centenary exhibition, Richings Sparkle, and as part of the Centenary celebrations, the World Food Festival and the Sports event.

Riverfly monitoring on the Thorney Brook in Kingfisher Garden takes place regularly, and Jim Skinner and Amarjit Dhaliwal would welcome new volunteers to help. Please contact them if you are interested at riverflymonitoring@richingspark.com

Colne Valley Park Groundwork Rivers Team supports this action and trains volunteers. We are publicising this more widely soon.

Our Committee, who turn out every month for a meeting where we share information about planning issues and try to resolve concerns of residents, as well as plan projects and events, most are on one or another subcommittee. Each is responsible for a road or street, and they deliver leaflets to EVERY house in Richings Park advertising events, the AGM notice, and subscription envelopes.

Members of the committee and Niki Weston designed the boards for the Centenary exhibition, and Ged Weston designs our event posters, and Niki designed our RPRA logo. Ged also manages our Facebook page.

Others work tirelessly in obtaining grants where needed - these can be difficult and time-consuming!

Thanks to all of them, including our Parish and County Councillors, who keep us informed about major infrastructure developments that may impact Richings Park. They attend many meetings at Heathrow regarding future development and noise, environmental issues, and at County-level planning meetings.

Not forgetting you! The residents of Richings Park who pay subscriptions every year, which help with costs such as insurance for events, equipment, printing, stationery, and publicity for events.

Thank you - we couldn't do it without you.
