Iver Parish Council is seeking local resident input to the neighborhood plan, which is currently under development.
Neighbourhood planning gives communities direct power to develop a shared vision for their neighbourhood and shape the development and growth of their local area. It enables communities to play a much stronger role in shaping the areas in which they live and work and in supporting new development proposals. The neighbourhood plan would normally sit alongside the local plan and be used as a tool to determine planning applications in the area, but since the local plan has been withdrawn by Bucks Council, this makes the neighbourhood plan especially important, so make sure you have your say. There are several ways to get involved over the next few weeks: - Complete our surveys on Facebook - Join a discussion group - Join the public sub-committee meeting Due to COVID-19 restrictions discussion groups will be held on line using Zoom. Currently, IPC is planning sessions relating to: - Local heritage assets - Green spaces - Community facilities To participate you will need to be able to join a Zoom call with video and be happy to agree for the session to be recorded. Numbers will be limited to 8 participants per session to ensure everyone can participate fully and the session will last up to 90 minutes. If you are interested in joining a group please send the following details to firstname.lastname@example.org: - Your email address so we can send you a Zoom invite - Your location – some sessions will focus on one village so we need to know where you live - Your areas of interest – we will try and place you on a session looking at that topic If you can’t join via Zoom and want to submit comments on the topics above email: email@example.com or write to The Neighbourhood Plan, Iver Parish Council, 45B High St. Iver SL0 9ND.
We are hoping to reach as wide a range of residents as possible so please send us your details and get involved!
